You are beautiful, smart, funny, loving, sassy, spunky, amazing and so very special....these are just a few ways to describe you.....we love the little girl you are and have grown to be over 8 wonderful years! What a blessing you are to us and what a way you have totally completed our lives and brought absolute happiness and love to us!

This growing up thing is hard on your mom and dad.....but you'll alway always be our baby girl no matter what age!

School Bus time

Our baby girl took another big step today....she rode the bus to school for the first time! She was so excited and just jumped right on!
However when I picked her up she said she was never riding again! hahaha Too loud and confusing is what she said!
She did find a friend that was in her class and just happen to live across the street from us...which is AWESOME!
So the next morning came around and I made her ride again..even though she was crying! I felt horrible and decided that was it I could do make her ride.
Then came morning three..my friend came over with her daughter to catch the bus too, Kaylee still didn't want to! However I promised her if she would ride one more morning, give it one last try with Chloe with no tears, we'd get icecream after school and I would take her rest of the year if she still wasn't comfortable on the bus.
Excitingly it worked and she liked the bus and said she'd ride every morning! YAAAY

Sick princess

Our sweet girl was sick for 4 long days with the same as what her bubby had! We thought for sure she wasn't going to get it but dang it the day before her 2nd grade year started she spiked a fever! She was so sick and so sad that she missed school! Thankfully she is all better now and in school and loving it!

1st sleepover

Friday night was a HUGE 1st for Kaylee....she spent the night at Lilly's house....ALLL night too!
The girls had a blast, played with lil Hank (lilly dog), played on their kindle, stuff animals and so on! I hear they didn't go to bed till after midnight...Kaylee did awesome and slept all night till around 7am..hehehe my early bird! They then played more, had some yummy dunkin donuts and we picked Kaylee up around 10:30am Saturday! So very exciting for her! So proud of her making it all night somewhere totally different....She rocks!

Specials Spectacular

Tonight was the first grade specials night! Kaylee has been looking forward to this for weeks..love seeing such excitement in her!
So specials is music,art,gym and technology....and how cute was tonight! Since 1st grade is so large they broke up the classes in two days which was great...made it much nicer and we could see our girl! It was great to walk through, meet and learn how the kids days go with the specials teachers! I have to say though our favorite was music...the performance from the kids was so cute and perfect! They sang a few songs and a little dance with them....awesome! To watch her sing and have such a huge exciting smile on her face was SPECTACULAR! Love love loved it!

Kaylee's phone calls

Several months ago Kaylee wrote down her mamaw's phone number in her calendar...since then she has added a few more numbers! Our numbers and her papaw's! She will sneak off and call mamaw all the time..if she's gotten in trouble or if she just needs a mamaw chat time! Its pretty cute really! However there has been three times now that she gets up in the middle of the night and calls them!
First time was at 11:15pm...totally freaked Mamaw out because Kaylee hung up before they answered, so she called back since we never call that late unless is an emergency. Mamaw got no answer because kaylee went back to bed and we don't have an phone in our room! So mamaw called papaw Joe in a panick and the ER to make sure nothing had happened! Well we didn't figure any of this out until I got up in the morning and had 2 calls from mamaw, a call from papaw and calls to our cell phones! I panicked thinking something had happened and we missed the call! But after calling my mom and looking at phone calls going out we figured out what happened and Kaylee confirmed it! hahaha Silly gal!
Second call was at 3:20am when she call them just to talk because she was scared....little stinker! So scared that she was able to go downstairs in the dark, find the phone and sit on the couch in the dark and talk on the phone....O so rotten! hehehe
She did the same thing a third time at 3:15am but used my cell phone this time...still got busted though! hahaha

Hoping the lil gal will just sleep through the night instead of getting us up or calling her mamaw all hours of the night! haha

Valentine's Party

Valentine's Party was awesome and super cute! I was head of the craft which I must say was super cute and a hit in class!
We had cookies and cupcakes for snack and then 3 games....tower making with candy,duck duck something and a station to write something nice for Mrs.Spear and then made into a cute heart for her to keep.

For only having 45 mins for parties I must say all went smoothly again and fun!
